Sized for Optimum Performance . .
.
Connectors typically found in
hardware stores are available in only small
diameters. Often small diameter connectors
(1/2" I.D. (7/8" O.D.)) are sold with 3/4"
fittings. While these may fit equipment stub-outs,
they often don't provide enough BTUs for commercial
equipment to function properly. This limits BTU
capacity which can "starve" high volume
equipment of its gas requirements.
The result:
Inefficient performance (e.g. slow recovery or an
inability to operate all burners at the same time when the
oven is in operation), and higher costs. Only
Dormont offers larger diameter stationary connectors that
meet the high BTU requirements of cooking equipment.
This assures that the equipment operates at peak
performance levels.

Improved Safety . . .
Brass connectors are highly
susceptible to corrosion caused by ammonia and other
common kitchen cleaning chemicals that may results in
pitting and gas leaks. A recent warning by the
Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) about the
hazards of brass connectors highlights the importance of
using a safe, properly sized gas connector for commercial
cooking equipment.
Dormont stainless steel
connectors are highly corrosion-resistant, and they are
much stronger - resisting crushing, kinking, and cracking.
